How We Work
We work with people who have concern about a particular area. Even one individual choosing to get in touch to find out more about how to help, or sending a book to a community, can be our starting point for intervention.
We also work with government offices, who may ask for a very large-scaled and scheduled programme of delivery. This is already underway in a region in South Africa, with interest coming from other locations around the world.
Sustainable
The knowledge transfer of Footnotes to policy makers and community project leaders, as well as those living in need, ensures that the programme is delivered with sustainable and long-term effect, with an emphasis on community-centred initiatives. As a communication platform that can be used by anyone, Footnotes also offers the distinct ability to co-manage grassroots regeneration projects with individuals in the community of need, regardless of literate ability.
Cost Effective
Because the Footnotes strategies are so quick to assimilate, and easy to incorporate, the programme can be delivered in a relatively short amount of time. In some cases, as little as a 1 hour one-to-one on-line Skype session can be all that is required to begin a successfully impacting project.
It is partly its rapid and low cost impact that makes Footnotes unique, and the reason it is so important in the face of such vast need. It has potential to change many lives, offering lifelong enabling strategies that support in both the short and the long term.
